The best Lisbon restaurants for fine dining

Henrique Sá Pessoa (formerly Alma)

Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa closed Alma in Chiado at the end of 2025 and reopened under his own name at Páteo Bagatela, in the Amoreiras area, on 17 February 2026. The Michelin Guide lists the new restaurant, with its two stars, as Henrique Sá Pessoa, formerly Alma. Diners can still expect an international twist on Portuguese cuisine, with a short à la carte menu and tasting menus.

Belcanto

Chef José Avillez’s flagship in Chiado holds two Michelin stars, the first won in 2012 and the second in 2014. It also ranked No. 42 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025.
