What is BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market?
BTL is the leading trade show for the national tourism industry and one of the most important in the world, bringing together buyers, sellers, tour operators, hoteliers, travel agencies and destinations from across the globe in Lisbon every year. With more than 1,700 exhibitors and over 600 events across five days, the fair is simultaneously a business marketplace, a stage for innovation and a meeting point for everyone who works and invests in the tourism sector.
The next edition takes place at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa, in Parque das Nações.
Organised by Fundação AIP, BTL takes place every year in the first quarter and is split between days exclusively for industry professionals and days open to the general public, who take advantage of the fair to book holidays at exclusive prices. The programme includes conferences, workshops, cultural showcases, destination launches and interactive experiences spread across several thematic areas. Among the fair’s key sections are BTL Cultural, dedicated to cultural operators as tourism promoters; BTL Meeting Industry, focused on the congress and corporate events sector; BTL Enoturismo, which highlights wine regions as tourism destinations; and BTL Lab, a stage for debate on innovation and technology trends in tourism. Each edition features an invited national destination, an invited international destination and an invited municipality – making the fair an annual barometer of global tourism trends and priorities.
Who Visits BTL
BTL attracts a highly diverse visitor profile: hotel and hotel chain directors, national and international tour operators, travel agents, accredited buyers (hosted buyers), destination representatives, tourism journalists, students and members of the general public with an interest in travel. On days reserved for professionals, entry is restricted to those aged 16 and over with accreditation.

Amiroad offers private transfers from Lisbon Airport to the FIL and to hotels in the Parque das Nações area and central Lisbon, as well as transport throughout the fair days between accommodation, the venue and other commitments across the city.
