Comic Con Portugal: Moving to Europarque Through 2028
Comic Con Portugal, the country’s largest pop culture festival, held its 11th edition from 23 to 26 April 2026 at Europarque, in Santa Maria da Feira, its first time at the venue after previous editions in Matosinhos, Oeiras and Lisbon. Following a partnership secured for the 2026, 2028 and 2030 editions, the festival returns to Europarque for an expanded five-day edition from 21 to 25 April 2028.
About Comic Con Portugal
Founded in 2014 at Exponor, in Matosinhos, where its debut edition drew 32,500 visitors, Comic Con Portugal has grown into one of Europe’s largest pop culture gatherings, passing one million visitors across its editions. The 2024 edition, marking the festival’s 10th anniversary back in Matosinhos, welcomed 155,234 people over four days. The festival covers cinema, television, comic books and graphic novels, literature, anime and manga, cosplay competitions and a dedicated Comic-Con Kids programme, with international guests from film, television and comics alongside Portuguese creators.
Practical Information
The next edition runs from 21 to 25 April 2028 at Europarque, in Santa Maria da Feira, around 30 minutes south of Porto. There is no Comic Con Portugal edition in 2027: the current venue agreement covers 2026, 2028 and 2030 only.
