Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy – Cascais
Established in 2020, the Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy returned to the bay of Cascais for its 7th edition in July 2026. The 8th edition is expected in 2027, likely on its usual slot on the first weekend of July, though exact dates have not yet been announced.
This prestigious event stands as a unique fixture in the global sailing calendar, combining high-level competitive racing with a crucial mission: marine conservation.
Event Highlights:
World-Class Competition: The regatta attracts top-tier professional teams and yachts, featuring elite classes such as the high-performance VO65 and TP52 boats, as well as a diverse array of local and international sailing vessels.
A Force for Good: The Sailing Trophy is a fundraising event with a purpose. All entry fees are entirely donated to carefully selected marine conservation and ocean health science projects supported by the Mirpuri Foundation.
Conservation Forum: In conjunction with the racing, the event hosts the annual Conservation Forum, bringing together scientists, activists, and sailing professionals to discuss urgent environmental challenges facing our oceans.
