Web Summit in Lisbon

Web Summit is one of the largest and most influential technology conferences in the world, held every November in Lisbon. Every year, Lisbon transforms into the global capital of technology, with tens of thousands of founders, investors, developers and policymakers arriving from over 160 countries for one shared purpose – to connect, learn and shape what comes next in the world of tech. Founded in Dublin in 2009, Web Summit moved to Lisbon in 2016 and has remained here ever since, establishing Portugal’s capital as one of the world’s premier destinations for technology and innovation. Recent editions have attracted over 70,000 attendees from more than 160 countries, with 1,500 or more investors attending and dedicated startup matching programmes. Fpak

Where It Takes Place

The Altice Arena serves as the heart of the event, hosting Centre Stage keynotes and major sessions. The adjacent FIL exhibition centre in the Parque das Nações district accommodates the startup exhibition halls, workshops and thematic track stages. The location sits roughly ten minutes from Lisbon’s international airport by metro, making Parque das Nações one of the most convenient event districts in Europe for international visitors. What Happens at Web Summit

Web Summit is not a single conference but a collection of parallel experiences running simultaneously across multiple stages and spaces. The programme spans keynote addresses from global technology leaders and heads of state, pitch competitions for early-stage startups, investor meetings, themed tracks covering AI, climate, healthcare, fintech, media and more, and an extensive side programme of networking events, dinners and gatherings that extends well beyond the official schedule.
The event typically runs from Monday to Thursday, with the opening night ceremony on the first evening setting the tone for the days that follow. For many attendees, the connections made in the corridors and at after-parties carry as much weight as the content on stage.

Who Attends

Web Summit draws an exceptionally diverse international crowd: founders and CEOs of technology companies, venture capitalists and angel investors, journalists and media from global outlets, policymakers and government representatives, corporate innovation teams, and students and researchers from across the world. The concentration of decision-makers and capital in one place over four days makes it one of the highest-value networking events on the global calendar.

Getting to Web Summit with Amiroad

During Web Summit week, Lisbon operates at a different pace. Hotels fill months in advance, taxis and rideshare services become unreliable, and Parque das Nações sees heavy congestion at the start and end of each day. For attendees with a packed schedule – back-to-back meetings, investor dinners, side events across the city – having a dedicated driver is not a convenience but a necessity.
Amiroad provides private transport for Web Summit attendees, speakers, investors and corporate delegations throughout the event week. We handle airport transfers on arrival and departure, daily transport between hotels and the venue, and point-to-point transfers to dinners, meetings and side events anywhere in Lisbon. For larger delegations, our fleet of executive cars, MPVs and minibuses allows entire teams to travel together without compromise.
