Lello Bookshop is certainly one of the most beautiful in the world. It has a particular and unique architectural style, which combines all three: neo-gothic with art nouveau and art deco styles. It was designed by the architect Xavier Esteves and inaugurated in 1906. An incredible art nouveau staircase and wooden walls make this bookstore exquisite as it can be. Rumor says that Lello bookshop also inspired J.K. Rowling to write Harry Potter, after its 2 years living in Porto during the 90s.
