What is ARCOlisboa?
ARCOlisboa is Portugal’s premier international contemporary art fair, set to celebrate its 8th edition in 2025. From May 29 to June 1, Lisbon will become a vibrant hub for collectors, gallerists, artists, and art professionals from across the globe. The event will once again take place at the iconic Cordoaria Nacional, showcasing galleries and projects carefully selected by the Organizing Committee, alongside contributions from esteemed curatorial teams.
The heart of the fair, the General Programme, will feature a diverse array of national and international galleries, renowned for their dedication to artistic excellence. Additionally, ARCOlisboa 2025 will present two dynamic curated sections:
- As formas do Oceano (The Shapes of the Ocean), curated by Paula Nascimento and Igor Simões, will highlight projects and artists exploring the connections between Africa and its diaspora across the world.
- Opening, curated by Sofía Lanusse and Diogo Pinto, will spotlight emerging artistic voices and innovative spaces, encouraging exploration and discovery within the art scene.
ARCOlisboa 2025 kicks off on May 29 with an exclusive day for industry professionals. Starting May 30, the fair will open its doors to the general public, inviting everyone to experience the best of contemporary art in Lisbon.
