Cromlech of Almendres is a megalithic complex near Évora. Almost one hundred standing stones arranged in an oval shape. This complex dates from around 5000 BC, two thousand years older than the Stonehenge. Also, it is one of the largest megalithic sites in Europe. Some say that this kind of structures is the first mankind public monuments. And one of the most important in the world.
